Description

HITCHAM BURY ROAD 1. 5377 Holmwood TL 95 SE 33/374 II 2. A pleasant mid C19 red brick building with grey gault brick dressings and a slate roof. Apart from a modern addition at the rear it has survived without external alteration. Two storeys. Two window range of iron latticed casements. The upper storey windows are gabled. A gabled central porch projects on the front. All gables have cut and shaped ornamental bargeboards. End external chimney stacks with 2 diagonally set shafts. The porch has a plaque with the date 1856.
