Description

Holmwood is a mid-19th century red brick building featuring grey gault brick dressings and a slate roof. Aside from a modern addition at the rear, it has remained largely unchanged on the outside. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range of iron latticed casements, with gabled windows on the upper storey. A gabled central porch projects from the front, adorned with a plaque indicating the date 1856. All gables are decorated with cut and shaped ornamental bargeboards, and there are end external chimney stacks with two diagonally set shafts.
