No. 5 Bury Road is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 17th to 18th century, featuring a thatched roof that is hipped at the west end. The structure has one storey and attics, with small casement windows and boarded doors. There are two dormers on the front, one of which is gabled. The building is also distinguished by a ridge chimney stack and an external stack located at the west end.
