Description
The south part of Melford Galleries and garage premises is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house featuring a cross wing at the north end, with a later addition at the south end. The building has been completely refaced in modern brickwork and is colourwashed. It stands two storeys tall. The garage section at the south has 20th-century metal casements and a 20th-century shop front. The north cross wing, known as Melford Galleries, has double-hung sash windows with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The ground storey includes a small 19th-century shop window. The roof is tiled and features an original chimney stack with four grouped octagonal shafts on a square base.
