Description

Walcot House is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Hall Street in Long Melford. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. Each storey has one three-light window. The entrance is marked by a doorway with an architrave and hood, which is accessed by steps from the pavement. At the south end of the building, there is a large 19th-century entrance doorway that may have originally served a shop or workshop. The roof is tiled with old tiles, has a mansard design, and includes one gabled dormer on the front.
