GV II

House. Circa 1925-33. Buckland and Heywood. Red brick in Flemish bond, with darker brick dressings. Hipped dark red plain tiled roof. Left and right internal stacks with forward raised panel. 2 storeys. 7 bays, symmetrical facade. Central stone doorcase with raised lugs, frieze and detached pediment. Door of 6 raised and fielded panels, each panel in a raised moulded surround. To left and right three narrow vertical horned sashes with glazing bars, of 2 x 4 panes. 6 similar first floor windows. Central circular light with glazing bars. Flat headed arches and flush surrounds to windows picked out in the darker brick, which also continues as a vertical feature linking the windows of each storey, as if to form an apron to the upper floor windows. Brick band at cill level of ground floor windows.
