Description

Nos. 5 and 6, Chapel Green, Long Melford, are an early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house, originally divided into two tenements. The building is set back from the street and has a green in front. It is two storeys high, with a three-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground storey has two small bays with 20th-century windows. There are two doorways, each with a flat, dentilled cornice hood supported by brackets; one door is six-panelled with glazed upper panels. The roofs are slate covered.
