Description

Rushes Cottage is a building that likely dates back to the 16th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a cross wing at the south end. The roof is tiled, though the tiles are modern. The cottage stands two storeys high, and the cross wing has a jettied front. The ground storey at the south end is faced with modern brick. Most of the windows are casement, with one double-hung sash window that includes glazing bars. There is a ridge chimney stack on the building.
