Description

The Olde Stores is a small timber-framed and plastered building located on the south-west side of The Green in Polstead. It features external characteristics from the late 18th century or early 19th century, but it may have an earlier core. The building is one storey high with attics. The front displays an early 19th-century former shop bay with glazing bars, although one window is boarded up. There are two dormers and a ridge chimney stack, and the roof is covered with pantiles. This building is included for its group value.
