Description

Button's Green Farmhouse is originally a medieval hall house with a cross wing at the south-west end. During the 16th or 17th century, floors and fireplaces were inserted into the structure. It is a timber-framed and plastered building now covered with a modern tiled roof, featuring two gabled dormers on the front and a ridge chimney stack. The main block is one storey and attics, while the cross wing is two storeys with the upper storey jettied on the front. The windows are a mix of 18th-century double-hung sashes with glazing bars and modern casements.
