Description
The barn at Elm Farm, dated 1768, is constructed from brick and covered with pantiles. It features three bays and is built in Flemish bond with a plinth and a large doorway on the north side. The gables show brick tumbling-in, with the west gable displaying a date stone and an owl hole, as well as wooden doveholes above a former opening. There are also some blocked ventilation slits. Lean-to additions are present on the left and rear sides. Inside, the barn has a three-tiered roof supported by straight braces, collars, and wall posts to ties. Each gable end has five ventilation slits, most of which are blocked. This barn is included as an example of a dated barn. The farmhouse on the property is not listed.
