Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 16th century, with additions from the 17th and 18th centuries. The building features a combination of part rendered timber frame and part brick, topped with pantiled roofs. The original block is timber framed, with projecting wings added to both the front and rear during the 17th century. In the 18th century, the farmhouse was extended to the side and rear, and the 17th-century rear wing was heightened, with an additional lean-to extension also added in the 18th century. The structure has two storeys with attics, and the windows, primarily from the 18th century, consist of two and three lights with metal casements and horizontal glazing bars. There are four surviving rectangular hood-moulds on the front and rear 17th-century projecting wings.
