Description

The Old Maltings is a 2-storey building constructed in 1788, noted for its red brick construction and "L" shaped plan with a return elevation to the north. A roundel in the center of the building features the inscription "M and S laid the first brick. The 19 May 1788." The building has recessed arched panels along both elevations and a moulded grey brick eaves cornice. It is topped with a slate roof that includes four small dormers. The windows on each floor are designed with gauged flat arches.
