Description

Brewery House is a house dating back to around 1730, with an additional storey added circa 1840. It is constructed of red brick with coped gables, kneelers, a black-glazed tile roof, and brick end stacks. The house has a central staircase with a T-plan layout and a wing extending to the rear. It is three stories high and has a three-window front elevation. The windows are sash windows, with a complete set of blind boxes featuring scalloped edges. The ground floor has 8/8 sashes on either side of a wooden doorcase, which includes panelled reveals, pilasters, an entablature, and a flat hood. A storey band above the first-floor windows indicates the original eaves level.

The interior predominantly features boxed bridging beams, although those in the rear wing have ogee stops to their chamfers. A stick baluster staircase and two- and four-panel doors are also present. Several fireplaces include simple surrounds and cast-iron grates.
