Description
The icehouse at Ketteringham Hall, dating from around 1840, features a red brick entrance and is covered by an earth mound. The entrance faces north-west and includes a pointed brick arch, which is flanked by two brick piers that have recessed panels. These panels extend into stone caps topped with pinnacles, although the pinnacle on the left side is partially lost. Inside, there is a brick tunnel with a semi-circular head that is approximately 3 meters long, leading to a low brick doorway with a segmental head, which opens into a deep circular chamber.
