Description

This building, located on High Street in Loddon, is a late 16th and 17th century office building. It was likely originally connected to the adjacent building at No. 3. The exterior is constructed of rubble with dressed stone quoins and brick coping to the gable ends, topped by a very steep gable ended roof covered in black glazed pantiles. The building is two storeys high with an attic. The front elevation facing the road has two windows on the ground floor, and one window each on the first and attic floors. These windows are renewed, featuring four and six lights with transom bars and leaded panes, set within chamfered stone openings. Four and six-light windows are also present on the left hand return. A recessed range to the right has a pantile roof. The ground floor of this range features a later doorway with a glazed door, while the first floor has a three-light mullion window with moulded mullions and leaded panes.
