Description
No's 2 and 4 on High Street is a house and shop dating from the mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped roof covered with black glazed pantiles. The building has two storeys, with the first floor showcasing four sash windows that originally had glazing bars, although the left-hand sashes are missing these bars. On the ground floor, there is a three-light sash window on the right and a modern door. The left and centre sections of the ground floor have been converted into a large modern shop, which includes a polished marble surround and a projecting fascia. This building is included in the listing for its group value context.
