Description
Ivy Farmhouse is a former farmhouse of lobby entrance type, dating from the 17th century and later. The original timber frame has been replaced with brick on the front and side. The building is one and a half storeys high and features 20th-century windows, along with two 18th-century skewback arches that have cambered soffits. There is a simple early 19th-century doorcase with a panelled door, located opposite a 20th-century off-centre axial stack that remains in its original position. The farmhouse also has five 20th-century sloping dormers and an 18th-century shallow pitched roof. A full-height side extension is present, and inside, two blocked diamond mullion windows can be seen. The building features ogee and ogee and nicked chamfer stops.
