Description

Yew Cottage is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It features a five-bay timber frame, with the southernmost bay being an addition, and is faced with colour-washed brick on both the front and rear. The building has a pantiled roof and is one storey high with an attic. There are two 19th-century two-light casement windows with glazing bars, positioned beneath segmental arches, and dentil cornices adorn the structure. Three gabled dormers are present, along with an off-centre axial stack that has a doorway opposite. A winding stair is located on the entrance side of the stack, and there is one blocked diamond mullion window in the stair bay.
