Description

The Old Bakery is a dwelling that likely dates from the 18th century and has undergone later refurbishment. It features a timber frame that is faced with colour-washed brick on the street side and has pantiled roofs. The building is arranged in an L shape with a later extension at the front and stands two storeys tall. The street facade has four windows, including three 18th-century three-light windows with metal casements and horizontal glazing bars. The front door is planked and has cover strips. The ground floor openings are set beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. There is a rear wing that has modern windows and shallow pitched roofs. The building is included for its group value.
