Description
Highfield Farmhouse is a 17th century timber-frame house that has been faced in red brick during the 19th century. It features a steep tiled roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack with lozenge-shaped shafts. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a long range that includes five widely spaced 19th century segmental headed casement windows. There is a 19th century panelled door located in front of the chimney stack, which is sheltered by a modern porch, and an old boarded door to the right. The farmhouse also has two 19th century gabled dormers and two short gabled wings at the rear (north) with a lean-to structure between them.
