Description

Ancient and Modern is a late 17th century to early 18th century timber-frame cottage that has been rendered. It features a thatched roof with gabled ends and a central brick chimney stack. The building is one storey with an attic, which has windows in the end gables. There are two windows fitted with modern casements that include glazing bars. At each end of the cottage, there is a modern single-storey flat-roof addition. Additionally, there is a large modern wing at the rear of the cottage, which is rendered and has a pantile roof, also one storey with an attic.
