Description
Lymehurst is a late 16th-century timber-frame house that has been roughcast and faced with brick. It features a black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. The front of the house was refashioned in the 18th century or early 19th century. The building has two storeys and five bays, with sash windows that have glazing bars. There is a modern multipane window on the ground floor to the right, replacing what was once a shop window. To the right of the center is a moulded doorcase with a pediment supported by console brackets, along with fielded panel reveals and a fielded panel door. An external brick chimney stack is located at the west end. Inside, there are stop-chamfered ceiling beams and a fireplace bressumer. Additionally, there are two four-centred arch doorways located inside and to the left of the entrance.
