Description

Thatched Cottage is a Grade II listed building located at No. 65 Hawkes Lane in Bracon Ash. This single dwelling, which was formerly two separate homes, likely dates back to the 17th century. The structure features a rendered timber frame and a thatched roof, with parts refaced in brick and modern rustic weather-boarding on the gable ends. It has a T-plan layout, with a slightly taller cross wing. The building is single storey with an attic and includes 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars. There is one gabled dormer in the main wing, an axial stack at the junction with the cross wing, and a gable-end stack. Additionally, there is a later side extension with a pantiled roof.
