Description

This barn, located approximately 30 meters east of Ashby Hall, dates back to 1736, as indicated on its north gable. It is constructed of red brick and features a roof made of smut and red pantiles. The west wall has two pairs of double doors that are flanked by pilaster-buttresses. On the east side, there are catslide lean-tos with two pairs of recessed double doors. The north gable is shaped and includes off-centre double doors on the ground floor and a single door above, both with elliptical heads. Additionally, there are high-level ventilation loops and the roof is supported by two tiers of staggered butt-purlins.
