Description

Shingle Farmhouse is a 17th century timber-frame house located on the south-east side of High Road in Needham. The exterior is pebble-dashed, with a 19th century brick wall at the south end. It features a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The house has two storeys and an attic, with an attic window in the end gable. There are three widely spaced windows, which are early 19th century three-light casements with leaded panes. The doorway is positioned left of centre and includes a cornice and a fielded panel door.
