Description

The Old Fishmongers Arms is an early 17th-century timber-frame house located on Needham High Road. The building is plastered and features a moulded panel front, with a thatched roof and gabled ends. It has an off-centre brick chimney stack with a moulded brick base, as well as an external brick chimney stack at the north end. The house is two storeys high with an attic, which includes a window in the gable end.

On the first floor, there are four small early 19th-century three-light casements, while the ground floor has three large early 19th-century casements, some with three lights and others with four lights. A boarded door is positioned on the right, accompanied by a modern thatched porch. There is also a later lean-to on the south end of the building. The Old Fishmongers Arms was formerly an inn.
