Description
No. 20 Market Place is an office building from the early to mid-19th century, likely with earlier origins. It is constructed of painted brick and features a low-pitched pantile roof with coped gable ends and small paired eaves brackets. The building has two storeys and is distinguished by two widely spaced sash windows on the upper floor, which have vertical glazing bars and drip moulds. The ground floor has a slightly projecting centre and right section, adorned with a cornice, a three-light sash window, and a 20th-century pilastered doorcase that includes a cornice and a fielded panel door. A moulded panel is located in the centre of the first floor.
