Description
This property comprises three shops at 22, 23, and 23A Market Place, dating from the 17th century and significantly altered later. The front is covered in roughcast, topped by a low-pitched, gable-ended roof covered in black glazed pantiles. It has two storeys and five windows, with three-light casements throughout. The ground floor of numbers 23 and 23A features an early 19th-century shop window constructed from a wide sash with glazing bars. Number 22 possesses casement windows with glazing bars and a splayed bay window on the ground floor, alongside a pilastered doorcase with a cornice and fielded panel door. Rebuilt brick chimney stacks are visible. The rear of the building is stuccoed. Internally, the building preserves chamfered beams.
