Description
This is a 17th-century timber-framed house located on the south side of Hingham Market Place. The house has been altered and is now covered with a roughcast finish. It has a low-pitched, gable-ended roof covered in pantiles. The building is two storeys high with four windows. Number 25 features 20th-century casement windows; the ground floor windows have glazing bars, and the entrance has a fielded panel door with a hood supported by shaped brackets. Number 27 retains two original three-light mullion windows with moulded wood frames, fitted with later leaded panes, alongside two 20th-century casements. A 20th-century, "Tudor" style door with a tiled hood provides the entrance to Number 27. The west end of the building is clad in weatherboarding.
