Description

The Chequers is a 17th century timber-framed house that has been plastered. It features a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. The south end has a late 19th century brick facing and there is an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with late 19th century casements set in raised architraves. A central 19th century porch has reeded pilasters and a round arch. There is a wing on the north-west corner, which is also plastered and has a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends.
