Description

Connaught House is an 18th-century house constructed of painted brick. It features a steep hipped roof covered with black glazed pantiles and has an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with the left window being blind. The windows are set under rusticated segmental arches with keyblocks and are fitted with sashes that include glazing bars, three of which have thick glazing bars. To the left of centre, there is a 19th-century doorcase. On the right side, there is a large single-storey shop that projects and dates from the early 20th century.
