Description

No. 24 Cattle Market Street is a showroom and shop built in 1868. The building features a glass front with a rendered brick structure and a slate roof, rising two storeys high with five bays. Central double doors provide access, and there is a panelled plinth at the base. Each floor has ten full-height windows with metal glazing bars set between columns, while cast-iron elements are located between the windows and timber at each end. A fascia runs along the first-floor level, and there is a moulded projecting cornice above. The roof is hipped. At the time of re-survey, the building was empty.
