Description
The Marlpit Public House is an early 19th-century building that was originally a house. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered plinth and features a hipped roof covered in concrete tiles. The building stands two storeys high and has four windows on the first floor. To the right of the centre, there is a panelled double-leaf door with a plain overlight set in panelled reveals. This door is flanked by two fluted Doric pilasters, topped with a triglyph frieze and a small hood with mutules. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, positioned under flat gauged brick arches. Additionally, there is a later single-storey canted bay on the right side elevation.
