Description

The Church of All Saints is a parish church that dates from the 13th century and later. It features walls made of flint with stone dressings. The church includes a north porch, a nave, north and south transepts, a chancel, a lean-to vestry from the 19th century, and a bellcote. The base of a collapsed west tower is also present, along with 14th century piers and arcades from demolished aisles that have been incorporated into the nave walls. The chancel, which is from the 14th century, has been restored.

Inside, there is a 12th century font located at the west end, along with a detached bowl from a 12th century font and a detached stem and bowl from a late 18th century font. The church features 19th century pine benching. The restoration of the chancel in 1897 includes robust High Victorian furnishings such as a pulpit, lectern, reading desk, stalls, and pine elements. An alabaster reredos depicting the Last Supper is present, with a stained glass window above it dating to around 1897. The floor is adorned with encaustic tiles, and there is a brass and oak rail. The chancel has a boarded barrel vault from 1897. The nave roof features arched, braced high collar beams. The south wall of the chancel has two to three light stained glass windows from 1924 and the 1920s. Additionally, there is a brick altar tomb from around 1800, with some dressings built up against the external east wall of the chancel.
