Description

A row of four cottages dating to around 1800. They are built with brick facades, with some flint dressings to the gables and rear, and have black smut pantiled roofs. The cottages form an L-shaped plan. Number 7 features a flint gable and a plinth. The windows are wooden-framed casements with single glazing bars. Number 7 has three ground-floor and three first-floor windows; numbers 8 has one ground-floor and two first-floor two-light casements with a six-panel door under a flat brick arch; number 9 has a four-panel door with a switch tracery fanlight. Number 10, set at a right angle to the others, has three ground-floor casements – two with two lights and one with three lights – and three first-floor casements with two lights. A brick dentil eaves cornice runs along the top. Number 10 has a hipped roof with a ridge stack, while numbers 7-9 have hipped roofs with one ridge stack and one end stack.
