Description

A row of four early 18th-century houses stands on Keswick Road, Bacton. The houses are constructed of flint and brick, incorporating re-used ashlar quoins from Broomholm Priory. They have thatched roofs. The design is slightly asymmetrical, with two storeys. A central sloping brick buttress divides each pair of dwellings. Each pair has a pair of 20th-century doors, with a segmental-headed 20th-century casement window to the left and right. On the first floor, a casement window is positioned towards each gable end, with a further casement window towards the centre, set into a small eyebrow dormer. Nos. 3 and 4 have 20th-century glazed porches over the doors. The roof is gabled, with kneelers at the gable ends. A central panelled ridge stack and an internal east gable stack are present.
