Description

Manor Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a thatched roof. The west facade has two storeys. A 20th-century door is located to the right of centre, beneath a gabled porch. There is one renewed casement window to the right and two to the left, with three similar casements on the first floor, all within smaller openings than originally. The roof is gabled. A north internal gable stack has been rebuilt. The south internal gable stack has a rectangular roll moulded plinth and two square flues. The gable heads have rubbed brick kneelers. The east side is rendered. A long, 20th-century outshut, made of flint and brick, extends from the first floor on the east side. It contains one 16th-century three-light mullioned casement window, and one 20th-century casement. Inside, there is a winder staircase situated by a stack. The south room has a chamfered bridging beam and studwork visible in the staircase wall. A brick inglenook fireplace is present. A blocked passage leads to the Manor House in the south-east corner. A first-floor mullioned window has wave moulded jambs with jewelled run-out stops, as does the bridging beam above.
