Description
Nos 13 and 15 Binham Road are a terrace of estate cottages dating from 1827. The walls are made of flint with gault brick dressings and topped with black pantiles. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays, with a lean-to on the east side and a later extension on the west side that creates an 'L' shaped plan. The windows are two-light wooden casements set back under cambered brick arches, framed by brick dressings that also define the party walls and finish at the corners. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top, and the hipped roofs feature two off-centre gault brick stacks and one end stack at the junction of the 'L' plan. The extension at No 13, added around 1840, is constructed from pebble flint with gault dressings and has 19th-century iron casement windows with glazing bars. The roof was re-tiled with red pantiles. Originally, the building comprised four cottages with side and rear entrances. A datestone on the property features the initials TWC for Thomas William Coke.
