Description
Chalk Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1840. It features walls made of gault brick and a red pantile roof. The building has a 'U' plan, is two storeys high, and consists of three bays. On the ground floor, there are two plate glass sash windows set under cambered rubbed brick arches. The first floor has three windows. The farmhouse includes a five-sided porch supported by simplified Doric piers and an entablature. There are two sash windows at the angles with glazing bars, and a half-glazed door. Inside the porch, there is a tripartite door with flanking margin lights and a fanlight above. The exterior is adorned with a brick dentil cornice and has a shallow hipped roof with two stacks on the return ridges. The return facades are also two storeys high and consist of three bays, aligning with the outhouses of the courtyard.
