Description

The barn at Beechlands Farm dates from the 18th century and is constructed of flint with brick dressings, topped with an asbestos roof. It has a rectangular plan and features 19th-century outshuts that are not of special interest. The building has a flint plinth with a brick cap, a large central doorway on the north face, and two ventilation slits on either side. The gables have parapets and show tumbling-in. Inside, the roof consists of five bays supported by tie beams and collar beams, with two rows of butt purlins and a ridge piece. This barn is included for its group value.
