Description
The Grange is an 18th-century house, with a date of 1749 noted on a sundial set in the front wall. It is constructed of flint and brick, topped with a pantiled roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a rear outshut that was enlarged in the 20th century, featuring a second gable. The facade consists of four bays and is two storeys high, made of flint. The entrance is located in the second bay, featuring a doorcase with fluted pilasters and a fluted fascia. The double-leaved doors have three panels each and an overlight with vertical glazing bars. Above the doors is a masonry panel displaying a coat of arms and Tudor roses. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and brick reveals, while there is a blocked doorway between the third and fourth bays. The upper floor openings have wooden lintels. The gables have kneelered parapets with stone ball finials on the kneelers. There are two gable end stacks, with the right stack being renewed, and an off-centre axial stack.
