Description

North Barningham Hall is a late 16th-century house, which has been substantially altered in the 18th and 19th centuries and is now ruinous. It was originally constructed on an H-plan, but only one wing remains. The house is built of brick and has a pantile roof. Two stories in height, the central section has collapsed and is now heavily overgrown with ivy. There are 19th-century cross casement windows, alongside a small section of 16th-century brickwork. The west gable wall features a 19th-century canted two-story bay with a five-light transomed window on both the ground and first floors, topped with hood moulds. A large, external brick stack is located on the south wall. The interior contains a 19th-century roof. Attached to the west of the house is a garden wall, now completely overgrown with ivy.
