Description
Wells Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, constructed of brick and covered with blue glazed pantiles. The building features three bays and two storeys, with a dentil cornice and internal gable end stacks that have shafts with three string courses. A central porch, made of timber and featuring a lattice design, was added in the 19th century. The windows are flush sash with glazing bars. To the left, there is a lower two-storey addition with two bays, covered in red pantiles, which includes two doors and a casement window on the ground floor, along with two casement windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a 17th-century gable made of coursed flint, with a brick-capped plinth of very large flints. Each floor has a large blocked opening with a brick surround and a rendered brick pediment. At the rear, there is a continuous two-storey extension from the 20th century.
