Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dated 1829, with earlier elements, located on Barningham Road in Gresham. The building is constructed of brick and flint, topped with a pantile roof and features an irregular plan. The facade from 1829 is two storeys high and has three bays. It includes 19th and 20th century casement windows. A wall now stands at right angles between the first and second bays. There is a glass lean-to over the first bay, which has a two-light casement window. The doorway is situated between the second and third bays and features diamond shapes at the corners and a reeded fascia. To the right of the door, there is a three-light casement window, and to the right of that, a two-light casement window. The house has an axial stack and an external stack on the right gable, which was built over earlier blocked windows that have hood moulds in the flint wall. The rear wall displays 17th century quoins and has a blocked light with remnants of a hood mould. The first floor features a blind brick arcade of four arches, all under a hood mould, while the rest of the rear wall is obscured by a later lean-to.
