Description
Nos. 30 and 31 Church Street is a house that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the 17th century. The building is constructed of brick in English bond, with the upper part of the walls in Flemish bond, and is covered with pantiles. It has a single range of three bays, two storeys, and an attic, featuring crow stepped gables and thick internal gable end stacks. The left two bays have a flint plinth, and there are doors located in the first and third bays. The ground and first floors have three steel framed casement windows, all of which are from the 20th century. The gable ends include single storey lean-tos and two blocked windows in the attic and first floor, which have brick square hood moulds. The attic windows on the left gable display terracotta rondels featuring the Mott arms, dating to around 1864. At the rear, there is a brick plinth with flint lower walls, and two ground floor windows made of rendered brick, one of which has two rendered brick mullions.
