Description
Church Farm House is a house dating from the 17th to 18th century, with alterations and a 19th-century addition. It features coursed Quaternary flint and chert along with a brick mosaic and brick dressings, all under a roof of corrugated tiles. The building has a T-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic.
On the north elevation, there is a flint plinth and changed fenestration with 19th-century cross casements, along with some blocked openings. The right gable end has an internal stack, while the left gable displays decorative brickwork hearts and has 19th-century cross casements—two on the first floor and one on the ground floor, along with an attic casement that includes glazing bars.
The east front of the south wing is covered with black glazed pan tiles and features a projecting gable parapet, a raking dormer with a casement that has glazing bars, and one window each on the ground and first floors.
The west front of the south wing has a large external stepped stack with tumbled brickwork at the steps. The south gable is made of brick. There is also an attached single-storey range to the east with an attic, constructed of uncoursed flint and brick mosaic featuring slanting headers, and iron tie cramp irons with fleur de lys ends.
