Description
Laurel Farm House is an early 18th-century house located on North Walsham Road in Banningham. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with black headers and features flint. The roof is covered with glazed black pantiles and the building has a rectangular plan.
The facade consists of three bays and is two storeys high, with a flint plinth. The central door is framed by a moulded brick surround with pilasters, plain capitals, and a segmental pediment. Inside this surround is a wooden frame, likely from the early 19th century, which includes fluted pilasters, roundels, and a fluted top. The door itself has six panels, with the top four being glazed.
The house has sash windows with a single glazing bar in larger, blocked openings that are set under skewback arches. There are corner pilasters and a platband. The gable features a kneeler and there are two gable end stacks, along with platbands at the gables. A 19th-century range at the rear does not have special interest.
