Description
White's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century and mid 18th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has thatched roofs. The building consists of two sections. The north wing, which is from the 17th century, is one storey with a dormer attic. There is a door located to the right of the centre, with two 20th-century casement windows to the left and one to the right of the door. A later lean-to coalhouse closes off the facade. The gabled roof features three sloping dormers, all fitted with 20th-century casements. There is a ridge stack on the left and an internal gable end stack on the right. The rear of this wing has two dormers and three round-headed windows on the ground floor, with a door to the left; all details are from the 20th century. The south wing, dating from the 18th century, is two storeys high and uses a greater proportion of brick compared to flint. There is one 20th-century casement window on each floor, except on the west wall where an outshut obscures the ground floor. This wing also has a gabled roof and no stack.
