Description
Neatishead Hall is a farmhouse dating to the 18th century, with a refronting in the early 19th century. It has a slate roof and a two-storey, parapeted front facade. Originally a four-bay building, it was extended to the west by one bay during the refronting; pilaster strips mark the original size. A 20th-century half-glazed door sits centrally within panelled reveals, with a flat hood above. The windows are largely sashes; some were replaced in the late 19th century, but all retain glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. The ground floor window of the west bay has been altered to a French window. The gabled roof is punctuated by four ridge stacks. At the rear, a full-height outshut with a catslide roof indicates the original extent of the house. Three original 18th-century casement windows remain on the ground floor, and three are situated on the first floor. Various additional casement windows have been added in the 20th century.
