Description

The building at 23 and 24 Market Place is a three-storey structure dated to the 18th century, positioned on the west side of the Market Place. Its principal elevation faces the square and is rendered in painted stucco, decorated with pilasters that are topped with lion facemasks. The building is topped by a pitched roof.

The ground floor has a window to the left, with entrances positioned on either side. The doors are wooden, with decorative door cases including corbels and fanlights; the left door is panelled, while the central door is glazed. A shop front is located to the right, featuring fluted Doric pilasters, a panelled stallriser, mullioned glazing, a central entrance with double doors, and an entablature. The first and second floors feature five sash windows each. Glazing bars are preserved in the second-floor windows.
